Dance Africa Pittsburgh returns for its fourth year on July 17 and 18 with exciting performances by renowned ensembles from Pittsburgh and beyond. Legendary Dance Africa founder Dr. “Baba” Chuck Davis presides over this year’s showcase celebrating the music and dance of West Africa and the Caribbean.

Two evenings feature Philadelphia’s electrifying Kulu Mele dance and drum ensemble along with Pittsburgh’s Balafon West African Youth Dance Ensemble, Anthony Williams, and Legacy Art’s community dance ensemble.

The weekend of festivities also include an African marketplace and an Afro-Cuban dance workshop, presented by Linda Danza and Salsa Ritmo on Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Homewood YMCA.
