Jazz pianist Geri Allen brings her quartet to Pittsburgh for an inspiring and memorable concert.
Geri Allen is a pianist-composer-arranger-educator who has been a Guggenheim Fellow. She is also the first recipient of the Soul Train ‘Lady of Soul Award’ for Jazz. Nominated for an NAACP award for her Timeline, Tap Quartet Project, First woman and youngest person to receive the Danish Jazz Par Prize. Along with being a touring artist, she is currently the Director of Jazz Studies of the University of Pittsburgh.
