This class fuses traditional ballet, jazz dance, and music. Participants will have fun learning a blend of movement styles while also exercising drama, acting, and vocal skills. Participants strengthen their connection to dance and music learning basic vocabulary and form while discovering their individual artistry.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
LaTrea Derome Rembert (Jazz Ballet) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally from Cincinnati, LaTrea is a graduate of Point Park University where he obtained his B.A. in Theater Arts and also minored in Dance. He is an actor, professional dancer with the STAYCEE PEARL dance project & Soy Sos, choreographer, and a dance educator at multiple institutions in Pittsburgh. He is excited to be returning to the Alloy for another season and can’t wait to share his knowledge with our future creators of tomorrow.

Celebrate The Alloy School journey with our Showcase and Let’s Move Family Dance Party on at Kelly Strayhorn Theater. Each class will present material from their class session on the mainstage, after which we move to the lobby for family beats and community crafts.
